LIMITLESS Novalux: shaping space with light
What if a lighting system became a language to be composed?
With LIMITLESS, Novalux offers a veritable vocabulary of 48V light: just a few essential elements, a virtually unlimited number of possible combinations.
The concept takes shape right from the catalogue, where the name LIMITLESS is composed using its modules: light strips, structural profiles and connectors become letters. It is the most immediate demonstration of what it means to design with this system: not choosing a luminaire, but composing a sign, giving form and voice to light.
The words: five modules, five ways to create light
LIMITLESS Novalux: five modules for infinite LED lighting solutions.
All linear modules have a diameter of 30 mm and are available in lengths of 492, 924 and 1464 mm. Each has its own distinct character.
Pure light. 360° opal diffuser with a diffusing silicone core: a streak of pure light, up to 1797 lm at 25 W (3000 K), for geometries that can be seen from every angle.
Microprismatic. Black-painted aluminium profile with a microprismatic diffuser, delivering up to 2580 lm at 44 W (3000 K): soft, directional light.
Micro-optics. Micro-optics and PC lenses for controlled light emission (UGR<19), up to 3,404 lm at 44 W (3,000 K): the module designed for work environments.
Track. 48V two-conductor magnetic track onto which 7 W LED spotlights (690 lm, 3000 K, 42°) can be freely positioned and adjusted for accent lighting.
Structural. Black-painted aluminium profile, without a light source, also available in a 276 mm length: it is the unobtrusive element that gives shape and support to the composition.
The grammar: joints, hinges and rotations
If the modules represent the words of the language of light, the joints are the syntax: elements that connect them, giving shape to ever-changing compositions.
Linear, 90° and 120°, 2-way and 3-way, 4-way X-shaped and three-dimensional up to 5-way: they allow you to move from a line to a polygon, from a wall-mounted hexagon to a suspended cube.
The articulated joint adds tilt: it rotates on a plane up to 180°, with 21 positions at 9° intervals, and maintains a stable angle even under load.
Furthermore, each module rotates 360° at each end on radial ball bearings.
The same configuration can therefore direct the light downwards, towards the wall or towards the ceiling, without changing a single component.
One lighting system, many settings
The strength of a design language lies in its ability to adapt to different contexts and tell a unique story each time. The settings show LIMITLESS in contexts that are very different from one another.
In the office. Suspended luminaires above workstations, modules with micro-optics (UGR<19) for visual comfort, track-mounted modules with spotlights to highlight walls and artwork, and illuminated frames delineating desks.
In retail. LIMITLESS ceases to be merely lighting and becomes a display unit: illuminated clothes racks, light frames around fitted wall units, and suspended structures housing shelves. Each profile supports a distributed load of 10 kg, up to 50 kg across the entire structure (shelves not supplied).
In hospitality and reception areas. Double-height lobbies, stairwells, galleries: suspended vertical elements, T- and U-shaped geometries, diagonals following the curve of the staircase, a cube of light suspended above a work of art.
At home. Angled arrangements above the living room, illuminated bookcases and the customisable floor lamp: a base with a floor-mounted power supply kit (headpiece, 100 W ON/OFF power supply, foot switch and Schuko plug) onto which to mount your preferred module, available in a straight version up to 3000 mm in height or with a horizontal arm up to 968 mm.

From the drawing board to the building site
For designers, creative freedom is only valuable if it translates into a simple installation. LIMITLESS is designed with this in mind too.
Tool-free assembly. Modules, joints and end caps connect via quick couplings: electrical and mechanical connection in a single step, secure and durable.
Power supply where it’s needed. End caps and connectors are available pre-wired (2×0.75 mm² cable) or unwired: the power input point is chosen on a composition-by-composition basis. Where suspension is not required, the holes in the connectors are sealed with dedicated plugs, without disrupting the aesthetic continuity.
Any installation method. Vertical, horizontal and decorative end caps for suspension; ceiling, wall and floor-mounted end caps, including adjustable versions, for linear modules or connectors.
Lighting control. 48V system with a maximum power load of 240 W and IP40 protection rating. Remote power supplies, dimmable via 48V interfaces, or boxes with integrated power supplies for suspended or ceiling-mounted configurations, available in ON/OFF or dimmable versions (DALI, PUSH, 0–10V and 1–10V).
LIMITLESS does not require the design to adapt to a luminaire: it offers the designer a language with which to compose light.
